Bamboo Ballyhoo specializes in propagating useful species of bamboo, we are dedicated to fulfilling peoples bamboo needs in the Central Coast of California and beyond.
bamboo hedges
Bamboo has the unique ability to create privacy screens that extend much higher than any legal fence. Bamboo is drought tolerant, fast growing and can adapt to many climates. A containment system can be installed in cooperation with hedge plantings to contain the bamboo and keep it where you want it.
Hedge pricing is $100/linear foot and includes installation of a polyethylene rhizome barrier and multiple plants spaced on 3′ centers.
architectural installation
We can transport and install full grown bamboo plants to your exact architectural specifications. Many varieties are available of both running and clumping bamboos. Please contact us with your desired size and type of bamboo and we will manage the transport and installation at your particular site.

Ive always had a passion for Moso but it grows slowly here on the Central Coast. Just down the street in Los Osos is a Vivax that really looks good. Last week we visited some plantings of Bambusa Beecheyana and they were so impressive… I cant wait to get one!
